Intelli Imt
The Intelli Imt is a range of digital tuners that allow their owners to tune their instruments automatically from the vibrations of their instruments. This means they can be used even in noisy environments.
These clip on guitar tuners, (as well working on other instruments of course), have proved to be revolutionary in the industry and now are pretty much indispensable for musicians. When they were first released some years ago there were initial teething problems, normally regarding bass tuning. However, these have largely been sorted out. The Intelli Imt, is now a market leading range on tuners available at really good prices that anyone can afford.
The current range includes the Intelli IMT 500, Intelli IMT 600 and the Intelli IMT 900. They all feature swivel heads making the tuning process very easy, as well as LED lit display screens, so the tuners can be used not just in noisy environments, but in dark ones as well.
The Intelli IMT 600 is marketed as an upgrade to the already very popular Intelli IMT 500, and it features a Mode selector so users can choose between Chromatic, Violin and Guitar options.
The Intelli IMT 900 is also an upgrade to the Intelli IMT 500, however in this model there is the addition of a transpose mode as well as other performance enhancements. An example of this would be the when Bb Trumpet plays a C the note that sounds as a Bb. When the transpose mode is utilized, the tuner will enable the Bb pitch to actually register as a C. This means it is a perfect choice for those people playing brass and woodwind.

Hands down the best and easiest tuner out there. This is my third one as my daughter and son have taken my first two. I use this for acoustic guitar and banjo. I also will use it for electric bass when I don’t run through an electric rack-mount tuner. Always works quickly and accurately.
Great tuner, and inexpensive too!

I bought one of these a few years ago and love it. It was inexpensive, yet super-easy to use. I use it to tune electric and acoustic guitars, an electric bass, and mandolins. The bass was a little tougher to tune, likely due to the low frequency, but I was able to get a “fix” after repositioning the clip.
I’ve also used this device to “tune” an electric piano… I just placed the tuner on the speaker, struck middle C, and adjusted the tuning potentiometer. Nice.
The battery lasted about 18 months for me, and was easily and inexpensively replaced (it uses a popular coin-type lithium battery).
I’ve since bought another one of these for my guitar-playing brother (a nice but inexpensive gift!)
